Say NO to STRESS...!

I googled and found this article at one of the websites. In My Own Words...

1. Counting your breath by maximizing your lung capacity and oxygen intake is a well-known method of stress management. So by learning to breathe slowly and concentrate on your breathing, this will help the anxiety to subside and eventually cease.

2. Try to drink tea. Especially green tea. It can give you the sense of calmness. (but I gotta pass on this, as I am a warm water person!)

3. Getting physical have something to do with the in vivo secretion of endorphins which is a naturally produced feel-good hormone that follows an act of physical exertion. That is why, physical exercise helps reduce stress and encourage happiness.

4. Cortisol concentration is higher in people with higher body fat content and cortisol concentration is in direct relationship with stress. Cortisol induce high blood pressure and this may explain the relationship between stress, hypertension, heart disease and rate of mortality. So by watching one's weight is definitely important not only for one's self image and confidence, but most importantly one's health and physical well-being.

5. Chewing gum is one of the best exercises to reduce stress.

6. Eating healthily has been widely established as an important route towards healthy living. Breakfast is known to be as the most important meal of the day. It does make sense that the bigger meal should be the first meal in the day as this is where the main energy will come from.

7. Other physical health issues may arise from excessive use of computer such as carpal tunnel syndrome and back pain.

8. When we are under stress, our brain is flooded with automatic negative thoughts that further impact on our state of mind. By repeating a positive mantra, we are training our brain to think positively in order to produce positive emotion and behavior.

In Conclusion :

The power of mind and realise that a healthy mind is an important pre-requisite to a healthy body and healthy living!
