Practice What We Preach...

I googled and found few websites that offer great advices on living healthily and looking beautiful. From my own experience, we sometimes forget to apply those to ourselves. And many of them fall under common sense but they are easy to forget. 


1. Water :
Drink water and don't wait until we are thirsty. Try not to put so much Coke or etc in the fridge. As a matter of fact, we should not be drinking sodas on a regular basis.


2. Smoke Free :
Not only we will feel healthier and live longer but there is a ton of other advantages of smoking free. Apart from making our skin glowing, we will have more energy.


3. Sunblock :
Use sunscreen, every single day, EVEN IF IT IS CLOUDY. One of the ways not to get wrinkles way too soon.


4. Work Out :
Truth is, we do not have to exercise every single day for 3 hours to be healthy, or do 1000 crunches a day to have a flat belly. That is a bit ridiculous, isn't it? Moderate is better. And we just need some exercise for 30 minutes a day. That include a nice long walk, Pilates/yoga's video or cycling.


5. Follow Our Shape :
There are so many myths out there that we can easily end up hurting ourselves. We do not have to try to be anybody else, but embrace ourselves the way we are and explode our best attributes. And try to have lots of fruits and veggies.


6. Scrub :
When exfoliating, please make sure to be careful with how often and how much. If we do not exfoliate enough or never exfoliate before, we are applying our products on top of our dead skin. But if we are over exfoliate, we tend to make our skin extra sensitive and easily bruised. Best is to exfoliate our face and body once every two days.


7. Shower :
Cold showers are good for our skin and hair. It is 100% true. Hot water dries our skin out and makes it look dull. If cold water is too cold for us, try warm (but never hot!). 


8. Hair :
Trim or cut every 2-3 months at least, apply good conditioner and hair masks and let it air dry with a leave-on serum. If can, do treatment at least once a month. Avoid daily blow-drying our hair, tie our hair when it is wet and using too many styling products.


9. Make Up On/Off :
Using make-up everyday can break out our skin and cause pimples, irritations or dryness. To avoid that, remember to always remove our make-up (double cleanse is the best) and give our skin a day off every now and then to let it breathe. Cleansing and moisturizing our skin will make a better base.


10. Wrinkles :
We have talked about getting wrinkles because of the sun but there is also another bad habit that might make them appear at an early age. That sometimes, we tend to pull our lid to the side to apply eye liner smoothly on our upper lash line. Yes, i do that too! This simple daily move can cause wrinkles around eyes area.
